After another weeks break and another episode where we had to sit through Julianne Moore's atrocious attempt at a Boston accent. Thursday's 30 Rock episode finally showed us why we're still sitting through season four.

Read more for the Top 5 reason's we've stuck around.

Now don't get me wrong I love 30 Rock since its season premiere and I'll stick by it long after Frank's hat sayings get unoriginal and Liz starts caring about her looks. But until then I'll look at why 30 Rock had such a superb episode Thursday night, the first answer should be obvious.

If there was ever another romantic interest for Jack I couldn't care less for it would be Julianne Moore's Nancy Donovan. Sure there's the whole husband left to persuade her to divorce him scenario, and Jack snooping around her house scene that brought the laughs. But the only good I can see coming out of this relationship was the creation of "YouFace" and their relationship remaining "weirdsies".

Could Jane Krakowski's character Jenna Maroney get any funnier? One of the better background stories on the show after having met Liz and Jack's mothers would be finally meeting Jenna's stage mom Verna (guest star Jan Hooks). Between their awkward karaoke scene and Verna's proposition to star in a reality show alongside Jenna, it made the entire episode!  I believe her exact words were "Yeah, this show will have laughter. Tears. Topless arguments. Infections caused by jacuzzi water!" Brilliant.

Now of course we've seen Jack give some side-splittingly hilarious advice, but somehow in this episode his advice actually meant something and it wasn't just a backhand slap in the face (which of course remains funny too). This time however we saw Jack actually caring for Jenna, trying to show her what her mothers true intentions would be (thanks to some helpful moments Jack has shared with his own mother). In the past we have seen Jack looking out for Liz and often Tracy, but always seen him treat Jenna like a child or 'product'. Which thanks to this episode we saw him and Jenna in a new light, friends?

This is a bit of a maybe/maybe not answer. Due to the new episode focusing mainly on Jenna, there seemed to be less focus on Tracy Morgan's character Tracy Jordan. Now whether this is a good or bad thing its up to you, but lately the show seemed to focus almost too much on Tracy and the less we saw of him in the latest episode was actually fine by me. Instead they used Tracy in the usual comic relief moments mostly reserved for Kenneth, and somehow this seemed to work. Once again agree or disagree?

In an effort to stop eating junk food and trying to help Frank stop smoking. Liz and Frank try and lead healthier lives. However Liz is later astonished that Frank remains upbeat whilst she is low on energy, therefore she believes he is cheating. And this is where it got funny. Trying to catch him smoke again by setting up a recording video camera the entire night, Liz soon realizes this was a bad idea.

I think this moment got the most laughs out of me. Liz along with the entire TGS staff sees Liz's habit of junk food eating whilst sleepwalking all caught on tape! As well as eating the cigarettes she accused Frank of smoking. It was hilarious and finally totally unexpected! Sure there are a lot of things wrong with Liz, like does water still run out of her mouth when she cries? But this pretty much ended the episode on a high note for me. Not to mention we see Frank bringing a mail room women to Liz's apartment where he eventually falls asleep on her lap as she and sleepwalking Liz sing him goodnight. Nice to have you back 30 Rock!
