Clearly President Obama has good taste in TV! New sources confirm that First Lady Michelle Obama has invited the cast of Glee to perform at the annual White House Easter Egg Roll on Monday April 15th. Apparntlly Mrs. Obama and her daughters are big gleeks including the President himself, which shouldn't come as a surprise seeing as the President watches Gossip Girl too.
Glee is slowly taking over the world, having debuted their first album Glee The Music Volume 1 at No. 1 on the UK album charts. So not only is Glee being watched in your house, but now in the White House too!
With the sudden departure of Edie from Desperate Housewives in season 5, and Ugly Betty recently having been canceled there was suddenlly two very favored actresses on the market. Thankfully Nicollette Sheridan and Becki Newton both recently scored starring roles in new pilots.
Becki Newton has signed on to star in NBC's dramedy pilot "Love Bites", which follows multiple storylines of love and dating. Wherein Newton will be playing a social worker called Annie who also happens to be a virgin. Created by "Sex and the City's"Cindy Chupack.
Whereas Nicollette Sheridan is planning on starring in a new CBS comedy pilot where she plays a Hollywood stage mom to a teen starlet. This seems like good news for TV's two favorite actresses, lets just hope their characters become as iconic as their previous ones. Good luck!
The legend that is Betty White may soon be appearing on NBC's Saturday Night Live thanks to massive fan petitions and heavy demands, but it may not be to host the show. Although 88 years old, Betty White can surely still pack a punch. And with her hilarious Screen Actors Guild Awards speech that remains one of the TV highlights of this year, I fully back this decision. Get her on SNL!
However Entertainment Weekly is reporting that instead of hosting the show White will be part of a "Women of Comedy" special alongside former SNL stars Tina Fey, Molly Shannon and Amy Poehler which are just some of the possible names appearing alongside White.
This decision has been made to aid Betty White not having to constantly host the show for a full 90 minutes (Hey remember she's 88!) whilst also bringing in the brilliance that is Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. Whether this is the final decision has not been confirmed, but it sounds like a pretty brilliant idea!
What do you think of a possible "Women of Comedy" special? Let me know in the comments below.

We often tend to believe that everything we see on TV is real. Now of course I don't mean we're delusional and that we really believe Jack Bauer of '24' really exists, but more than likely what we percieve on television can often be interpreted as being real. Modern day television has extended to a point where reality can certainly be replicated, technology is one of those aspects that has helped the television industry achieve this. Although this video is a couple months old it has recently caught everyones attention. And most notably it has shown others that what we see on TV isn't always the real deal.
Check out this extrodinary video below and visit Stargate Studios for more videos and information.
American Idol castoff Angela Martin, who recently got told she would not participate in the Top 24 has recieved an amazing consolation prize from none other than Idol judgeEllen DeGeneres.Watch the video here.

Its a good day for 'Greek' fans. For those that have been impatiently waiting for Greek to be renewed, well wait no further! ABC Family has officially announced that Greek is renewed for a fourth season, starting with 10 episodes.
The show's fans recently had doubts for the renewal of the show due to its average ratings and remaining on the bubble between renewal and cancellation. However the show does return later this year with its first 10 episodes, however whether ABC Family does order more its up to the ratings.
Heres your first look at Jennifer Lopez's guest appearance on an upcoming episode of 'How I Met Your Mother'. Once again the unstoppable Barney Stinson is lured in by another women, and surprise! Its Jennifer Lopez. Formerly known as J.Lo, Lopez will be starring as Anita, a self-help author who tries to seduce Neil Patrick Harris's character Barney into falling in love with her. The episode will air March 8th on CBS.
Meanwhile "Jenny From the Block" seems to be making appearances everywhere lately. With a hosting gig at Saturday Night Live coming up February 27th. Lopez is also busy filming as a guest star in the FOX hit series 'Glee'. So whether you like her or not, you'll be seeing a lot of Jennifer Lopez in the coming weeks.

Though it may seem like a while, slowly the TV season is coming to an end and sure enough each network is (slowly) announcing the season finale dates for their shows. NBC announced theirs a couple of weeks ago and now its FOX's turn. Among them is the season finale dates for House, 24, Glee, Bones and many more! So read after the jump to find out when their seasons come to an end.
If you're like me and still shocked at the whole lacluster ending to Desperate Housewive's Karl then you are not alone. Zap2it's Jethro Nededog recently sat down with executive producer Bob Daily about the sudden departure of Richard Burgi's character and why it was such a tough decision. Here is an excerpt from the interview:
Our readers would hate us if we didn't ask you this. Can you talk
about the thought process of either killing Karl or Orson in the plane
crash? That was a very difficult position, because we loved
Richard Burgi. Everybody in the show from the writers down to the Kraft
services people loved Richard Burgi. He was just a favorite of
everybody, so that was a really tough decision. I think Marc felt like
that relationship with Bree and Karl was really fun, but it was so
uncharacteristic for Bree that I think the feeling was to keep that
going would have been difficult and would have transformed Bree's
character in a way. I think audiences like to see characters change a
little, but I really think they want them to return to who they are.
While that was a great moment for Bree, having that sort of unbridled
sexual relationship with a guy she had nothing in common with, we felt
at the end of the day, she needed to go back to being Bree. It was
going to be tough to do that with Karl.
You can read the rest of the interview at Zap2it meanwhile what do you think of Desperate Housewive's having killed off Karl? Should we take Teri Hatcher's suggestion and bring Richard Burgi back as Karl's evil twin brother?

The Twitter sensation"Shit My Dad Says" is becoming a TV pilot by CBS, and they have cast none other than William Shatner to play the dad. Good casting? I think so!
Casting of other characters such as Justin (the son who made the twitter account) is still being decided upon, however the casting of Shatner has allowed CBS to start a multicamera family comedy show, based solely on the Twitter account. The account having launched last year in August has more than 1.16 million followers and will surely have a lot more once the TV show is launched.

Its that time of the year, TV networks are negotiating what's in and what's out. Now whether your show gets renewed for its next season is up to the all important ratings, but it could also be on the bubble between renewed and cancelled. So prepare to be anxious for the next seven months, but until then I've compiled a handy renewed/cancelled table to see where your favorite shows are currently heading.

Fans of The CW show 'Supernatural' prepare to get excited! Rumours are spilling that creator of Supernatural Eric Kripke has warmed up to the idea of expanding the show past its fifth season limit. And funnily enough The CW seem to like the idea too, which considering all the network tends to cater for lately is teenage girls this seems like a good sign for a show that doesn't necessarily involve scandal, sex, money, models and rich girls.
Meanwhile the Wicked Witch of the Networks, CW Entertainment president Dawn Ostroff (yeah her!) said the possibility of a sixth season wouldn't be a bad idea and that the network is "rooting" for the show. "We all hope there's another season for the show," Ostroff says. "Based
on the ratings so far and based on the season they've been having, I think
there's good reason to have positive hope."
Yeah I'm not buying anything from her either, but if you must hear what she has to say about the show then watch this clip at the recent celebration of Supernatural's 100th episode.

30 Rock's Tina Fey graces the March issue of Vogue and talks a little about how she sent e-mails to Vogue subscribers, and how her infamous "Mom Jeans" line came to light.
Vogue subscribers recently got a very interesting e-mail from Fey herself exclaiming: "My Vogue Cover". There Fey describes her experience working with Vogue, with of course a little humour added into the mix. Fey mentions "If you've always wondered what it would be like if the talented people
of Prada, Gucci, Dolce&Gabanna, and Vogue gave your 40-year-old
sister-in-law a makeover, then this is the issue for you".
Fey also compares working with Vogue to once in a life time opportunities such as watching Mount St. Helens volcano erupt or seeing Halley's comet. Meanwhile Tina Fey's famous one liner "Mom Jeans" became an instant classic back on Saturday Night Live, but now Tina is recalling to Vogue how she came up with the idea.
"The idea for Mom Jeans first came up
after I had a fire in my apartment and had to buy a pair of
emergency jeans for work one day, it was right before the low-rise
thing kicked in officially, and I inadvertently bought these jeans, and
they had this enormous rise," Fey says. "And I was going
around the office complaining about them all night, joking about it,
and Maya Rudolph (SNL co-star) and I started singing a little Mom Jeans song. We just
goofed around, and I wrote that up very quickly".
Fey also talks about her new interest in fashion, dressing for the red carpet and of course 30 Rock.
The March 2010 issue of Vogue goes on sale Tuesday.
If you're like me and desperately missing Nicollette Sheridan's character Edie Britt who was killed off last season on Desperate Housewives, not to worry! The shows producers agree and have gone on to find the new 'Edie' who executive producer Bob Daily describes as "A great person to have on The Lane, the sort of vixen troublemaker. That's a great person to have on
a television show." Well I'm pretty sure like many suggested that soon enough the producers will be kicking themselves for killing off her character, but can there ever really be another Edie?
Well Bob Daily doesn't think so adding: "I think Nicollette was so great as that sort of blonde bombshell, I think we'd probably not go in that direction again
just because we've had that". The producers have also decided whoever they cast will be playing a recurring role in the next season, but will make an appearance sometime this season and will be stirring up some trouble.
Lets make her Edie's long lost sister because honestly can anyone ever replace the fiery Edie Britt?

Its a good day to be NBC. Friday's Vancouver Olympic Opening Ceremony averaged a total of 32.6 million viewers and earned a national ratings share of 17.3/30 an increase of 35 percent over Torino in 2006. That should be pretty impressive for a network that estimated they would be losing 250 million because of the Olympics.
And because of those impressive numbers this years Olympics ceremony was the most-watched opening ceremony for a non U.S. Winter Olympics ever. The 32.6 million viewers that watched on NBC helped the network reach 47 percent higher than Torino (who got 22.2 million viewers) and had an overall of 67.5 million viewers. This years opening ceremony also broke another record for the most-watched opening ceremony in 16 years just below the 33.8 million for the tabloid-fueled Lillehammer Games in 1994.
So I'd say that's a pretty good start to the Winter Olympics, did you watch?

Ugly Betty

Friday, February 12, 2010
I like many others are still trying to get over the sudden cancellation of ABC's 'Ugly Betty' who once again had a superb episode on Wednesday night. And surprisingly its highest ratings of the season despite still being considered low. But that's not what I want to talk about. I found something very interesting, a recent poll that asked a total of 7934 voters a series of questions about Ugly Betty. The poll had some very compelling results to show.
27.91%
Yep, that's the exact percentage of voters that said they didn't watch the current season of Ugly Betty after ABC decided to move it from Thursdays to Fridays. Meanwhile 10.64% said they didn't watch because they didn't know what day and time it aired. And 17.27% said they didn't watch because it airs too late.
By looking at just these three results I find one thing in common between all of them. The word blame comes to mind, and truly I believe that ABC only has themselves to blame for Ugly Betty's poor ratings. Sure there were other factors effecting the show (a poor season 3) but being produced by ABC Studios Ugly Betty was one of the networks cheapest shows to produce, so this isn't a money issue. No its whether the show could still pull in a sufficient amount of viewers that ABC was fine with, and sadly it lacked in this area.
But having changed Ugly Betty from Thursdays at 8PM to the "dead zone" Friday nights at 9PM and now at Wednesdays at 10PM. I feel the show lost a sufficient amount of viewers due to ABC's lack of advertising (when the show moved to Fridays) and the constant scheduling change. Overtime Ugly Betty lost many viewers, due to different aspects such as the Writers Strike, and the shows unfocused plot lines back in season 3 (which didn't continue for long). In the end Ugly Betty in its current season is experiencing a creative resurgence that any struggling show would hope for. It has reached a level of quality that shows after 10 season's could never live up to. And it truly does show how despite Ugly Betty's poor ratings, its the network that has themselves to blame.
Go to 'Save Ugly Betty' for more information on the poll and to sign the petition.

Things aren't looking good for ABC's 'FlashForward'. Just a few days ago it was announced David Goyer, FlashForward's second showrunner was stepping down. And now things seems to be getting worse. ABC has gone and assigned three new showrunners to the struggling show. Jessika Borsiczky, Lisa Zwerling and Tim Lea will all three be serving as the new showrunners for the show.
Meanwhile to add insult to injury ABC has gone and decreased the number of ordered episodes from 23 to 22, having initially started out with an episode order of 24. Ouch!
Things are looking bad for the show and returning in March doesn't help it either. Lets hope the show picks up some pace before its to late. And at the moment its clearly in some severe danger.
A new addition to the blog, "Bitesize TV" helping you navigate around the net, reading all the latest TV headlines without the hassle of looking around. Plus all in a smaller format. Hope you guys like it!
It looks like they are closer to finding American Idol judge Simon Cowell's replacement, but Howard Stern?
Watch as FOX makes another wise decision to advertise Coke and The Simpson's all in oneSuper Bowl ad.
Well mark those calendars its that time of the year again, the dreaded end of the TV season. Although still a few months away NBC has gone ahead and announced what shows will end when. However it could also be the fear of never seeing those shows again after their season finales, that makes the end of the TV season even more disappointing.
And lets be honest, NBC has had one horrible TV season. If it wasn't the whole Conan-gate situation, it was Heroes tumbling ratings. So I think NBC will be pretty happy to put this one behind them. Some good news however has come out of their current TV season, 'Parks and Recreation' was (of course) renewed for a third season. And if anything this really is the little show that could, sure they don't get amazingly great ratings but clearly exec's at NBC think its been a good run so far.
So to help NBC put this TV season behind them, read the finale schedule after the jump!

A few weeks ago we saw Jay Leno appear on the 'Opray Winfrey Show' when he decided to come clean about Conan-gate and the entire mess caused by NBC (not to mention himself). Now critics have evaluated this move over and over again, was this really a good move by Leno's team?
Sure he may be the most hated person on television (at the moment) but does having some face time with Oprah really clear the consequences both he and Conan O'Brien endured? Probably not, and with rumours circulating Conan might soon end up on FOX its more image rehabilitation time from Leno's side.
And with the Super Bowl on at the moment who can't help but watch this really awkward Super Bowl ad between Jay Leno, Oprah and David Letterman. What's even more peculiar? Its advertising Letterman's show!
The NY Times and LA Times both have great articles on how the entire concept came about, meanwhile you can watch the contraversial video after the jump.
Its about to get busy at The CW network. Apparently The CW are in "deep negotiations" on the renewal statuses of all their shows and are finalizing the paperwork as I write. Fans of shows such as 'Gossip Girl', '90210', 'Supernatural', 'Smallville', 'The Vampire Diaries' and 'America's Next Top Model' do not have to fret as sources are saying renewal for the above shows will be announced later this month.
However shows such as newcomer 'Life Unexpected' will have to wait a little longer as its been said that although The CW is happy with LUX's performance, they are still waiting for more data to make their final decision. Currently however the show is leading largely towards renewal.
However things do not look good for the new Melrose Place who's ratings have been sliding since its premiere, sources are saying "don't expect the show back". Fan favorite 'One Tree Hill' however is also involved in some "messy" negotiations at the moment, where if it were to be renewed could expect some budget cuts and could be losing certain cast members and producers of the show.

The CW should be pretty pleased with these ratings. Friday night's 2 hour special Smallville 'Absolute Justice' episode averaged a final rating of 2.8 million viewers, making it the shows largest audience of this season. It also gave The CW its best Friday night in over one year! Wow impressive!
However over in the 18 - 49 ratings Smallville averaged a 1.3/4 which is on the ok side but definitely an outstanding number for a show on Friday nights. It also had stable ratings in Men (18 - 49) and Adults (18 - 49). I'd say its been a good week for Smallville overall. What did you guys think? Was it a exceptional episode or did it fall flat?

Wow who didn't see this coming? Anyone? Well once again the so-called 'Bitch' Georgina Sparks (Michelle Tractenburg) is returning (again!) to Gossip Girl. The last time we saw her she was (once again) humiliated by Queen Bee Blair Waldorf and left the show for the usual reasons swearing vengeance upon all!
Well happy fricken day! Starting off slow Gossip Girl has slowly made its way up to excitement level again. But seriously we almost have no reasons to tune back in when Gossip Girl returns in March, does anyone think they should have left the car crash till later and ended it without us knowing who survives? At least then we'll have something to look forward to. So meanwhile this season has been very blah, do you think having Georgina come back is the right move?
Well its certainly fun if done right but the whole hooking up with Dan scenario was just awkward and unnecessary. So if anything bring her back, don't bring her back will it really make that much of a difference? Well her character will only be returning in the season 3 finale so maybe there will be something big that's going to happen.
Until then
xoxo Gossip Boy.

Singer Sheryl Crow has been set to star in a three episode arc as Greyson's (Josh Hopkins) new girlfriend. Ok so we've seen Sheryl Crow act unsuccessfully back on 30 Rock (remember 'Kidney Now'?) So question. Will she be able to keep up with the likes of Courtney Cox? My opinion? Yes! I mean they wouldn't keep her on the show for three episodes if she couldn't, right?
Its been reported that Crow's character will be playing a wine distributor, ok does anyone now want to see Sheryl Crow drunk? Yes! Its funny they would cast Crow seeing as she is sort of the blonde version of Courtney Cox, they look somewhat similar. So maybe this is some mastermind plan from the writers to have Greyson go from Sheryl's character to Courtney's? Who knows! The possibilities are endless! For the next three episodes anyway.
Being a long time fan of Ugly Betty I along with many others surely mourned on the day ABC announced they were cancelling our beloved show. Now with recent news of Betty's episode order being cut down from 22 to 20, fans are worried whether the show could hurriedly give Betty her happy ending.
With 7 episodes left before the series finale could the writers of Ugly Betty be frantically trying to give any form of closure for the fans? You bet they are! But not without some fan disappointment in the mix. Executive producer and head writer Silvio Horta recently sat down and spilled the beans on Ugly Betty's series finale, but don't worry not everything was spilled!
Read more for the Top 5 could be series finale facts! Possible Spoilers!
Here we go again! It wasn't too long ago that Desperate Housewives actresses Eva Longoria and Teri Hatcher shared an on screen kiss, a clever way to boost the ratings. But now its getting steamy on Wisteria Lane once again. Actress Dana Delaney will be sharing a kiss with Housewives new comer Julie Benz, who appropriately is playing a stripper that Teri Hatcher's Susan takes in.
Now of course I have no problem with this, its Desperate Housewives! If there weren't any girl-on-girl kisses I'd be worried the writers weren't caring enough. But is this just another ratings ploy? The news isn't getting the same amount of buzz back when Longoria and Hatcher kissed, most probably because they are respectively the two most sought after Housewives. But never did I think Desperate Housewives were um..desperate for the ratings? It remains to be a hit show, and despite not being the ratings killer it once was it still produces decent ratings that should keep ABC exec's happy.
But in all honestly, when 'stunts' like this are on a show, can it be called a ratings ploy or is it really the writers coming up with good storylines? Well thinking back on the Gaby and Susan kiss, nothing ever came from it, will this one be any different?

The ABC show "FlashForward" is getting a new showrunner, so is this good news or bad news?
Its been no secret that FlashForward has slowly been sinking in ratings, and having had its midseason finale in November 2009 and only returning this March doesn't make things any better. Now with the recent news of Co-creator David Goyer stepping down from running the series fans have started wondering, is this the end of FlashForward?
Now don't get too ahead of yourself, the show is still returning 18th March, but David Goyer although having stepped down will still be "involved" in the show but will be primarily focusing on films and directing. However worse news was that "Eli Stone" co-creator Mark Guggenheim was brought as showrunner, who later stepped down and Goyer stepped in.
Who will run as the new showrunner has not been answered however David Goyer did release a statement saying: "As my feature projects have started ramping up again, I felt I was being pulled in too many directions. I'm proud of the show and excited about the relaunch. It's in great hands."
So does that suggest a replacement has been found? Well we'll find out soon enough. But clearly there is trouble in paradise, whether the show makes it or not is up to the viewers.
After another weeks break and another episode where we had to sit through Julianne Moore's atrocious attempt at a Boston accent. Thursday's 30 Rock episode finally showed us why we're still sitting through season four.
